“Look over here!” she exclaimed.

“Do I have to? I’m not really into taking pictures.” His face was almost sour.

“Come on, I just got this new camera, let me.” She fidgeted with one of the knobs on top and zoomed in to the face she’d known for 2 years.

“Fine, but I’m not smiling.”

“You better!”

He smiled.

“Three. Two.”

He stuck his tongue out.

Sample spreads from a book entitled “Proof of Purchase,” a book about the little scraps of paper we keep for various reasons.

The blue spread is my personal contribution. The scrap in question is a ticket stub from my first visit to the Opera.

A lot of people will attest opera is boring, but Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca is rather engaging and full of lies and deceit. Like an episode of Jerry Springer, but with music.

After several offensive shirts, and a multi-million dollar discrimination lawsuit, Asian-Americans still continue to flock to Abercrombie & Fitch, directly seeking the retailer by name forgetting the racist and elitist attitude the company and its advertising represents.

This is how Abercrombie sees the Asian-American community, and minorities in general with their
